Meet Our Team
You will find our Team Members are professional, caring, and knowledgeable.
Our Office Manager, Sarah is proud to be part of a team that embraces new technology and continues to promote education and growth. She looks forward to coming to work each day and her hope is that every patient finds our office as comfortable a fit for them as it is for her.
Most of you are familiar with our Administrative Assistants (Aileen, Stephanie). Together they have many years in the dental field. Their experience includes some prior service with specialty providers such as an orthodontist, a periodontist and an oral surgeon.
Regardless if you are calling us on the phone or "checking-in" at our front desk for your appointment; you will be greeted by one of these very capable professionals. These ladies are tasked with multiple duties all of which they handle very proficiently. Probably their most significant responsiblility is coordinating with clinical team members on your behalf. They make certain that the Treatment Coordinators, Hygienists and Doctor Schonfield have all necessary information at their fingertips.
As our financial experts, these ladies strive to keep your costs in line. They attain this goal by preparing you to meet your financial obligation when your care is received. Our Administrative Assistants will gladly provide you with an estimate for each visit, based upon scheduled treatment. In addition, they are familiar with most dental insurances and are often able to complete the claim submission process on your behalf.
Whether you're an old friend on a return visit or a new patient visiting us for the first time; our Administrative Assistants always welcome you with a warm, friendly smile.

Patient education is a priority for our well trained Registerd Dental Hygienist, Ellen, who provides you with information and instruction on proper oral care in an effort to help you achieve and maintain healthy teeth and gums.
~
Ellen grew up in Alexandria Bay so she is a north country native. After high school she went on to attend Suny Canton where she obtained her Dental Hygiene Degree. She feels that her "hands on" career choice nurtures her artistic side.
Ellen is no stranger to hard work. In fact, you may have seen her waitressing at one of the local "hot spots". She comes from a close knit family and is maybe just a little spoiled being the youngest of four (2 brothers and a sister). When she isn't working she spends time with family and tries to get out on the river as much as possible. You will most likely find her soaking up some sun on the boat or cooling off on a jet ski. All though no pets of her own yet; she loves playing with sister's dog "Wellesley" so ...maybe there's a puppy in the near future?
~~ We feel very fortunate to have these ladies on our team. They are very dedicated individuals who take pride in their chosen profession and the care they provide. ~~

I'm sure you are well aware that our Treatment Coordinators (Katie, Cassie and Holly) directly assist the Doctor and/or Hygienists in delivering your care. You know that they pass the necessary instruments and materials. You know that they help to restrain your tongue or rinse your mouth during the course of treatment. You also know that before they send you on your way, these ladies provide you with very important homecare instructions and address your specific treatment related questions or concerns. However, you may not realize that the majority of their duties are carried out behind the scenes. In fact, you have probably never given it a thought; but you should know that our Treatment Coordinators are essential to each and every visit.
They review your medical history - ascertaining any dental concerns and subsequently record any changes. They obtain required radiographs and properly catalog them for the doctor to review. These ladies communicate all pertinent information to the hygienists or doctor before and during your appointment.
To ensure that your care is provided as efficiently as possible, their preparation begins long before your actual arrival and continues even after you've gone. These ladies make certain that each operatory (treatment room) is properly prepared, disinfected, and equipped with all of the necessary instrumentation required to successfully complete your scheduled treatment.
Their attention to the details that we never even think about assures that the rooms are clean and ready for every person, every day.
Their goal is to make certain you are as comfortable as possible during each and every visit and their finest reward is the opportunity to build a lasting relationship with each of you.
We are commited to continuing education and are well versed in the latest dental techniques.
